Your Sense system is ready to learn and report once you have:
- Installed Sense hardware
- Registered your account in the Sense app
- Connected the Sense Monitor to your Wi-Fi network
Its first task is an automatic Signal Check that confirms the installation has been done correctly and the Sense Monitor is measuring current and voltage properly.
NOTE: Please do not move or reverse your current sensors after installing them unless the Sense support team asks you to do so. |
If Sense discovers an issue during this Signal Check, we try to fix it automatically. If we cannot fix the issue after three automated attempts, the Sense Support team will intervene. Support attempts to correct the situation without contacting you, but if the system needs physical intervention, Support will ask you to work with us to resolve that issue.

Device Detection begins once the Signal Check has completed. Device Detection is Sense learning to identify the appliances and other devices in your home by gradually identifying patterns within the overall electrical use. Find more information on Device Detection here:
