National Grid has already begun to replace older electric meters with Sense-enabled meters in New York, and early access has been rolled out to a limited number of homes. Hold off on logging in until general availability is announced. |
Sense sends you a one-time verification code to securely link to your electricity provider. Based on the information you have on file, the following options may be used to send your verification code:
- A phone number (mobile) that can receive text messages. Text messages cannot be sent to a landline phone, and carrier data rates on your mobile device may apply.
- A phone number (landline or mobile) that can be called to deliver an automated verification code.
- The email address on file with your electricity provider.
What if I can’t access the phone number or email address on the account?
If you can no longer access the phone number or email address on file, contact your electricity provider to update your account information.
- Call your provider directly
- for National Grid - 833.975.0009
- Log into your provider’s website or app
- for National Grid - www.nationalgridus.com
Once updated, you may have to wait for our system to process the change.
Tip: Force quit the Sense Home app and start again.
Does entering my phone or email address opt me into communications from Sense?
No, your contact information is only being used to send a verification code. This information will not be used otherwise for Sense communication purposes.
