Phased rollout is happening! National Grid and Sense are rolling out the Sense integration in a limited number of homes. Hold off on logging in until general availability is announced. If you have a Sense-enabled meter and would like to be a part of the roll out, click here. |
What to know
The Sense app must be paired with your electric meter to complete the connection setup. Setup cannot be completed if your device is unable to pair with your meter.
Check to make sure:
- You are staying 5-15 ft from your meter with clear line of sight
- It’s been <15 min since you began the setup process
- For security purposes, the process may restart after a certain amount of time
- You are using a compatible iOS or Android device for setup
- If everything above is true, there could be an issue with your electric meter getting into pairing mode. Follow the steps below.
What to do
- Move near your meter
- Be sure you and your device are located 5 to 15 feet from the meter, and that you face it directly not from the side). Adjust your position, then try again.
- Check the version of your Sense Home app and version of the operating system for your mobile device
- Sense Home app version: Check for updates in your device's app story (Apple/Google Play) and search for Sense Home.
- Operating system: Your mobile device should be running iOS version 16 or higher for iPhone/iPad, or Android version 9 or higher. You can verify this in your device's general Settings.
- Try Again
- Your mobile device will re-attempt the pairing process with the meter.
