Phased rollout is happening! National Grid and Sense are rolling out the Sense integration in just a few dozen homes. Hold off on logging in until general availability is announced. If you have a Sense-enabled meter and would like to be a part of the roll out, click here. |
You may experience network connection issues that manifest as your Sense system being offline or as frequent data dropouts in the Power Meter.
To troubleshoot, run a Network Connection Test from the app. This test measures the strength of the connection between your meter and your home’s internet signal. It does not measure the overall connection quality between your home’s router and your Internet Service Provider.
How to run a connection test
- Navigate to Settings > System
- Scroll down to the Network Connection card and tap 'Connection Test'
- From this page, you can view the result of the last connection test you ran. You can also run another one.
- Tap "Run Connection Test" and follow the guide. You may have to move closer to your electric meter.
- Once the test is complete, you can view the results. Tap "View results" from the results page, or return to settings for troubleshooting tips.
NOTE: When running a connection test, try to locate yourself and your phone (or tablet) close to your Sense system. If your Sense system is in a device installed in your electrical panel, make sure that Bluetooth is active on the phone.
