Frequently Asked Questions
Why didn't I get my Energy Snapshot on the 3rd of this month?
There are two possible causes here:
- If you are a new Sense user, you may not have yet accumulated a full month's data, which is what initiates the Snapshot report. So, for example, if you opened your account in December, you should get your first Snapshot report in February.
- You may not be subscribed. It is possible that you have not subscribed to receive the Energy Snapshot emails. Subscribe to Energy Snapshot emails by navigating to Settings > Notifications then toggle on Energy Snapshot
How is peak time calculated?
We divide each day into 24 hours, from midnight (hour 0) to 11PM (hour 23). This happens for every day of the month. For each day, we look at all 24 hours and find the one where the most energy was used. This hour becomes the "winning hour" for that day. The hour with the most "wins" becomes the one we report as the hour with the highest overall consumption.
How is peak day calculated?
Essentially, the peak day is just the day with more consumption/cost in the month. The calculation of peak day is independent of the peak time, and vice versa.
Why does the "Compare" feature say something different in the app than what's in the email?
The compare data in the email is data that's pulled from the reported timeframe, while the app pulls your current compare data.
