What to Know
To complete setup, the Sense Home app must pair with your electric meter.
If your device can’t connect, setup cannot be completed.
What to Do
Try again, making sure that you:
1. Move Near Your Meter
- You and your phone/tablet are 5 to 15 feet from the meter
- Stay within this range and remain relatively stationary
- Face the meter directly (not from the side or through walls)
2. Confirm Your Sense App Version Is Current:
- Go to the Apple App Store or Google Play
- Search for Sense Home then check for available updates
3. At Settings, Verify Your Device's Operating System Capability:
- iPhone/iPad: iOS version 16 or higher (not phone version)
- Android: Version 9 or higher (not phone version)
Once everything checks out, retry the pairing process.
Note: The process may restart automatically after 15 minutes, for security.
