One of the ways Sense may detect certain devices in your home is by type: if you have more than one of these devices, they’ll appear as a single device in your Sense app.
What you’ll notice:
- At the Now screen: One device bubble that grows or shrinks as device(s) of that type turn on or off.
- If you have more than one device tracked together, when one turns on, a bubble will appear. If another one turns on at the same time, that same bubble will grow to show the increased usage.
- A single device entry on your Devices list and in Detailed Usage.
- A combined view of total energy used by all devices of that type.
Settings and Management
You can access all the same settings for these devices as you would normally - rename, set notifications, change the device type, etc.
One difference with these devices is that if you delete the device in your app, Sense will stop looking for devices of this type. You can restart detection for devices of that type by adding the device to your list (using the ‘Add Device’ button at the bottom of your device list).
