Why is the Sense Community closing?
We're closing the Community to focus our support through the Sense Help Center and Sense Blog. These tools work for all our customers, including those joining through their utilities.
I have a Sense monitor, will you still support me?
Yes. Support for your Sense monitor isn’t changing. You’ll continue to receive product updates, customer support, and access to your energy data just like today. Our support team and resources are still here when you need them.
When exactly is the Community closing?
The Community will close on Friday, June 5th at 5pm ET. New registrations closed on May 7th.
You may have noticed the community link was recently removed from our website which was part of a broader website update. You can still access the community directly at https://community.sense.com/ until June 5th.
Is Sense shutting down?
Not at all. In fact, Sense is expanding. As we close the Community forum to focus our resources on support tools that work for all our customers, our mission is growing. We are evolving from our early days as a consumer hardware company into a grid-edge intelligence partner reaching millions of homes through electric utilities.
If you have an orange monitor, nothing changes: your device and data continue as normal. This evolution simply allows us to bring Sense to more people.
What happens to my posts and content after June 5th?
After June 5th the Community will be taken offline. Before it closes, you can download your post history using the Community's built-in export function. Here's a link to the instructions: Export User Data
Please note: any images or files you've uploaded won't be included in the export, as those links will stop working once the forum closes. If you have uploads you'd like to keep, save them directly before June 5th at 5pm ET.
What happens to my Sense device and account?
Nothing changes. Your Sense device, your energy data, and your account all continue exactly as normal. The Community forum is separate from your Sense product experience.
Where can I follow Sense news and updates?
The Sense Blog is the best place to stay informed. That’s where we share product updates, new features, and what we’re working on next. You can also follow us on LinkedIn for company news and industry insights.
Where can I share tips or learn from other Sense users?
Some Sense users have created their own online spaces to share tips, ask questions, and exchange troubleshooting advice. These are independent, user-run communities. Sense does not run, moderate, or provide support through them.
- Examples include the r/Sense subreddit on Reddit and Sense Energy Users on Facebook.
- For product support, troubleshooting, or to share feedback, please contact our Support Team here.
I have feedback for the Sense team. Where do I send it?
We’re still listening. You can share feedback anytime by contacting our support team at Sense Help Center. Your input helps shape what we build next.
