The Sense Home app shows you what devices are on in your home, how long they run, and how often they operate. With these insights, you can make smarter energy choices—saving money while reducing waste.
Many electric utilities are now upgrading to Wi-Fi-enabled smart meters that run the free Sense Home app. More homes and regions will be added in the coming years as the rollout expands.
Is This an Option for Me?
If your electric utility is rolling out Sense-enabled smart meters, they will contact you directly when your home is ready. You’ll receive an invitation to connect to the free Sense Home app once your meter is installed and activated.

Will the Sense Home App Work in Every Home With a Sense-Enabled Smart Meter?
To use the app successfully, your smart meter must maintain a strong, stable Wi-Fi connection with your home network. Sense’s Wi-Fi requirements are similar to other smart home devices:
-
A modern Wi-Fi router or mesh system
-
Strong signal between your router and your electric meter
-
A secured Wi-Fi network (open networks and mobile hotspots are not supported)

-
Has your electric utility installed a Sense-enabled smart meter at your home?
-
Has your utility invited you to connect to the Sense Home app?
-
Does your home have strong, consistent Wi-Fi via a secured network?
