If you already have a Sense Home Energy Monitor and your utility now offers access to the Sense Home app via a Sense-enabled electric meter, there’s nothing you need to do—but keep in mind that your data will not transfer between accounts.
What Are Your Options?
✔ Continue Using Your Sense Monitor if:
- You want to preserve your historical data in the Sense app.
- You use Sense Flex to monitor dedicated circuits or a generator.
- You use Sense Solar—the Sense-enabled meter does not yet support solar.
✔ Start Fresh with a Sense-Enabled Meter if:
- You prefer to create a new account with your Sense-enabled meter.
- Important: You must use a different email address (or delete your existing account) to register a new one.
✔ Stop Using Your Sense Monitor if:
- You want to switch entirely to a Sense-enabled meter.
- Before doing so, we recommend:
- Downloading your historical data from the Sense Web App, as it won’t transfer.
- Factory resetting your monitor (via Settings).
- Having your monitor uninstalled by a professional electrician.
- Reselling your monitor and accessories if you no longer need them.
