You can change the email address or password associated with your account by going to:
Settings > Account and following the prompts for either.
TIP: To verify any change, we recommend you log out and log back in again using your new email address and/or password.
Each Sense account is controlled by only one email address, and that email address can only be associated with one Sense account. To create an additional Sense account, you will need to use (or create) a unique email address.
Following are instructions on how to (1) add an additional Sense account or (2) replace an existing account to create a new one.
To Add an Additional Sense Account
As each account needs a unique email address, you may use an alternative email address you already have, or, depending on your email account, you may be able to create an alternative, as follows:
- Gmail: Add a plus sign and any word (or word combo) to your username: yourname+sense2 @ example.com (omit spaces)
- Outlook: Allows you to create aliases linked to your primary account for sending and receiving emails.
All email from both addresses will be delivered to yourname @ example.com
Note: The data from separate Sense accounts cannot be automatically merged. You will need to logout of one Sense Home account, then login to the other.
To Replace an Existing Sense Account
If you still have access to your Sense account, you can simply reset the account to start over:
Settings > Account > Delete Account and Erase Data
Find more information on resetting data here.
If you can no longer access a Sense connection but want to establish a new one (for example, you've moved and left the monitor connected or your access is otherwise impossible), simply open a ticket asking for the existing account to be removed. Information to include in the ticket:
- The email address you used to setup the account originally, and
- If your Sense is connected to an Energy Monitor, provide the serial number
- If your Sense is connected to Sense-enabled Smart Meter, please provide the home address for the Sense system you want to replace
